Please submit suggestions, recommendations, and offers of assistance to me via direct e-mail. Look for more to follow concerning projected support needs and suggestions for an agenda.

CATKILLER HISTORY:

The URL below suggests that the 220th RAC was a part of 212th Combat Support Aviation Battalion (CSAB) and was in Vietnam from September 1967 until it returned to the states in December 1972. Does anybody have a different set of dates? The origin of the 212th CAB was said to be Fort Campbell, Kentucky, and their motto was "Wings of Freedom." Certainly and irrevocably, the men who served with the "Catkillers" helped create the legend and are part of history. That history now belongs to all Americans and should be treated with respect.

Here is a bit of history concerning the 212th CSAB, Story by SP5 Victor B. Lackey (1969):

UNIT ORDERS, LISTS AND OTHER DOCUMENTS:

Seeking to establish those who were members of the unit, for historical purposes, from official sources, if possible. Anyone with orders, lists, etc., from official documents, please scan them or send them to me. I'll provide my address upon request. Send these items to Don Ricks.

TID BITS ABOUT VIETNAM:

You would not expect a Vietnamese News organization to contain so much international news. One recent discovery included in the Vietnam Globe ( http://starbulletin.com/2002/12/20/news/story10.html) is that the Central Identification Lab in Hawaii has recently identified the remains of a flight crew located in Laos, and they are reporting more items, as well. Check out this link for an eye opener:

Using http://www.google.com and conducting a search for "Ben Hai River" produces many results. One interesting revelation is that Americans have continued to return to Vietnam to see the country under more friendly terms.
