RETIREMENT ORDERS:
Update for Newly Received Photos and Info, 27 February 2024 [Mise à jour pour les photos et informations récemment reçues, 27 février 2024]:
Daniel Rechul (son of W. Rechul): “I am sending you today a photo of a Polish Guard and friend of my father, who emigrated to the USA. I recognized him from a photo of Daniel N Klinck.
I will send to you all the documents located at TFAD within the week. My idea was that these documents should not be forgotten, because current generations do not really know the common history between our countries after the Second World War, especially in my region. Today we are experiencing the same tensions with Russia as during the Cold War; This period also allows us to recall good memories for the people who worked on American Bases.
I realize that the link with the 97th Engineer Company is thin. My main objective is that the collectived memories I obtained is preserved. I would especially request that you post on the website the photo of Mr Antoni Ordulowski, who was in Vassincourt, and the aerial photos of TFAD. My father traveled many miles on these paths during his guard patrols. ”
